The practice of artist Martin Errichiello (Naples, 1987) explores the performative, political and poetic potential of images in the creation of visual and audiovisual counter–narratives on the history of the twentieth century. His approach combines post-documentary investigation strategies with theoretical analysis, using, depending on the project, video, film, photography, installation and writing.
Among others, his works have been published, exhibited and awarded at numerous European and international institutions, festivals and galleries including CC Recoleta, Buenos Aires; Italian Institute of Culture in Melbourne Australia; The Milky Way (Galleria Lia Rumma); Lucy Art Residency 2018 (Lucy Art Foundation, Greece); FOAM Talent Show 2017 (Foam Museum, Amsterdam, Atelier Néerlandais, Paris - Red Hook Labs, Brooklyn New York - Beaconsfield Gallery, London - Frankfurt Kunstverein), Plat(t)form # 17 (Fotomuseum Winterthur); Pesaresi Prize 2016 (with the book “In Quarta Persona”); Mutti Prize for young Italian directors (Cineteca di Bologna); Echoes of Anthropocene (Millennium Monument, Beijing China); BJCEM (Biennial of young artists Tirana); Circulations (Paris, France); Format Festival (Derby, UK); Triennial of Hamburg (Hamburg, Germany); Towards the Mediterranean (Institute for Graphics - Palazzo Poli in Rome, Italy).
